INSiGHT™ scanning technology

We use digital scanning technology to combine multiple reports into a single number health score delivered with easy-to-understand reports so you can see the progression of your chiropractic care.

The Insight Subluxation Scans and CORESCORE Analysis were developed to help you to understand where your nervous system, and therefore your body, is working at less than its full capacity for optimal function, optimal health and optimal well-being.

It also allows you to see how things like your environment at home and/or work, lifestyle and daily stresses may be impacting your nervous system and its function. With this understanding, you are better able to address the causes of your nervous system interference and enhance your body’s ability to create the health and well-being that you desire.

Thermal Scan
Measures nerve regulation of organs and glands. Nerves from the spine regulate the function of organs, glands and blood vessels. Spinal subluxations can interfere with this control system. Blood vessels on either side of the spine are measured using a thermographic (temperature) scanning. These blood vessels are under the same control of specific nerves that regulate organs and glands. If spinal nerve interference is present, the blood vessels will constrict(cool) or dilate(warm). Studies indicate that temperature imbalance is related to poor nerve control and poor regulation of the organs and glands.

Surface EMG
Surface Electromyography measures the minute amounts of electrical energy in the muscles along your spine. Subluxations disturb the function of the nervous system. If the spinal nerves are interfered with or if the muscles are overworked or overtired, the EMG scans will show color and low scores. The colors and scores tell us how energized or exhausted the entire spinal muscle and nerve system are when performing the simple task of sitting. We use this highly-accurate, non-invasive scan to document your progress. It’s a more accurate assessment of how you are healing than just looking at how you feel.

Pulse Wave Profile ® Heart Rate Variability (HRV) assessment
The Pulse Wave Profiler measures the change in the time intervals between consecutive heartbeats – which is directly related to the body’s capacity to sense and respond to its environment. HRV is an up-and-coming method that is becoming recognized by many healthcare disciplines as an important indicator of overall health, adaptability, and resilience. Through this technology we can keep track of your overall adaptability and ability to handle stress.

What to Expect during the scanning process

After gowning, you will be positioned on a stool to sit still and relax for two minutes. For the first test, starting at the base of your spine, the doctor use a tool which rolls up your spine, measuring skin temperature. Next, we will use discs which read the electricity in the muscles. These are like miniature radio antennas listening for a distant station. Lastly, you will rest the three middle fingers of your left hand in a scanner that measures your heart rate and skin temperature.

That’s it. The computer does the rest!

When your report compiled, you’ll get to see the computerized analysis and learn what it means. Your care is based on the condition of your nervous system, not only how you feel, this technology is a focal point of our practice.
